You gotta admit, though, the hood looks pretty damn original. Wasn't there a story about a white convertible S/N 000001 being sold to an airline pilot by mistake when the Mustangs were touring the country and an enthusiastic salesman sold one of the display cars? The story was that Ford finally bought the car back for the Ford Museum in 1966 by seducing the owner with the 1,000,000 th Mustang built, which was also a white convertible, and a bunch of Benjamins?
