67 Fan Shroud

I bought a fan shroud for my 289 and it fit fine with the radiator, but the fan was rubbing it like it was too small. I looked it up a bit and found the original fan shrouds were two pieces. Would this effect how it sits cause it to rub?
I tried to jerry rig it so it wouldn't mess it up but it eventually killed a chunk of it going down the freeway

Don't know about the original 67's but the 65/66 were real close. Very difficult to get them just right. :rant

I was given one from a '68 and had to clearance it just a bit near the top, by the radiator hose. Mine didn't originally come with a shroud. I believe in '67 you only got a shroud on the 6 cylinder or a 289 WITH A/C. Probably big blocks as well. The 289 without A/C didn't get the shroud.

I had to modify my repro shroud to not hit the fan. Works like a champ. Try to fix/modify yours if it's possible.

Never had issues when i mounted my fanshroud.
Note : you have to have the right motormounts on the engineblock .

You know, you may have hit on something. The 67 motor mounts are unique, and are not reproduced. Most folks swap in 68 motor mounts.
