Accelerator Pedal Spring Help!

I have run into some type of American made Chinese torture when it comes to replacing the spring for my accelerator pedal. ~???

The problem is I have never seen one installed so I have ZERO clue on where and how the spring sits on the bolt and pedal. Any type of picture and/or diagram (or Beer) would help me out tremendously.

Do I install the spring first then the bolt or the other way around?

I would just leave the pedal loose but it just bothers me too much

I really could benefit if someone had a picture :jam
Thanks ahead of time guys!

lol just did it yesterday remove screw on back side of accelerator pedal its on left side the spring is held in by the screw the L part goes against the back of hte pedal at the top and the part that has a litle hook to it goes on the accelerator lever hope this helps

sorry to resurrect this old thread but this freakin spring has me looking like a monkey doing a match problem... I will order the shop manual ASAP but for now does anyone have that pic referenced above from page 10-21 that will help me get this accelerator pedal together tonight?

Amazing to me how many owner's don't own a set of shop manuals for their Mustangs...
In any event, is this the photo you are looking for?

Agree on getting a shop manual but Google helps.

This was helpful for me, it's actually pretty easy to do I just did mine.

got it thanks. and got the shop manual, it's going to be a big help. I had 3 little things working together to confuse me but it's simple now that I see the picture.
