Been working on the Rustang for a change.

Been posting a bit to VMF on my updates but forgot many of the old timers came over here and don't check there often. So, I'll double down with the updates.

I have the body bolted on the car to start lining up and body working the thing. I have issues to fix, the pass side quarter panel needs metal added in the back to get the extension mounted square and correct (stupid repop panels). The front fenders need tweaking down low where I repaired the rust holes years ago. One door will need a little rod added in a spot on the door gap to remove the "squareness" of the gap where it should be rounded. The headlight bucket on the pass side has the broken upper tab, which is making the gap sag open. Must repair that to repair the spot. The trunk lid I have is complete crap. I bought it years ago, think from NPD but not positive, and one side is 1/4" longer than the other side. The manufacturer goofed this one up, needs to be cut apart and welded to fix it which I'm not going to do. Waiting for income tax refund and then making a run to Ocala for a new lid, the upgraded one. Asked opinions on VMF and a few people have used it and liked the fit.

Also been cleaning up my 289 and refinishing it to look like a 260. I have it painted, painted the exhaust manifolds with hi temp paint (baked them in the oven......good thing the wife was out of town :) ), and installed it with the T5 transmission.

Still need to get a T5 crossmember before the install is "done" but this is the most I have done since 2008. Hoping to get it done to drive in our local Christmas parade next year and then on to the NPD show at Silver Springs.
