Blue and Black

I think I am going to finally get my mustang painted in the next few weeks. I always wanted to do it a cobalt blue. The guy said he can do stripes if I want. So What are your thoughts on black stripes on a cobalt blue? The pictures are of a camaro I really liked that I would basically copy. What are your thoughts on this set up? It would either be black or possibly white. Any thoughts on not striping the roof like the camaro?

I'll be doing stripes on my 65 coupe. I'm doing a wide stripe with a narrow stripe on either side kinda like the 70 Mach 1's. I won't be doing the roof.

This is what I'm planning. I'll run the outer stripe across the bottom of the window so the stripe ends before the window.

same for front

Do the roof, I wonder how silver stripes would look. The black and blue is super cool! I like the Shelby style stripes best. Good luck with what you choose.

How about black & blue?

Any idea on a good blue to use? Black with blue looks good, but just not what I want to do. Having a black car is always a lot of work lol. We might do a silver flake for the small chaser strips on the sides of the larger strips or one down the middle. Just thinking things through as the car is getting prepped.

In your original post you said you always wanted to use Cobalt blue, so why not use that color?

Always liked the blue that Mitsubishi Conquests used I think it was like 88-89.

Grabber Blue fits well on these old cars. I have always thought some colors look better on old cars than others. Some just don't fit. Maybe it's just me?

My dad sold his (very) Dark Blue '67 GT350 to a guy who painted it Grabber Blue . . . I thought it looked awful.

I was never a fan of blues until I ran into my 2002 Sonic Blue Roush. Pictures could never do that color justice. See it in person and it's hard not to love it.
