C4 leaking.

My c4 trans has a leak around what looks like a 4 bolt square( see picture) what's involved with replacing the seal behind that cover? Is this under pressure? And the question of the day is can you buy that seal?
Thanks for the help!

I'll take a shot at this, if your car sits without having the engine run or driven in time the fluid in the torque converter will drain back into the transmission. This raises the fluid level enough to have it drip from the vent, that bent tube behind and alongside the cover you mentioned. You can verify this by checking the fluid level, it should indicate the trans being overfilled. I've gotten to the point of having made a catch bottle with a hose that I connect for the over the winter storage.

That could be possible. I'll have to clean it up really good and then see what happens it seemed to start only this winter and while it sits for a long time.

Design feature of the C4 - they all leak.
That's how you know they have fluid in them.

(Seriously, what 66HC posted above is correct.)

Hahaha just makes me mad it was rebuilt not too long ago. Hate to park it on pavers and it stains them all up.

Figured it out today what was truly leaking the top bolt of that reverse neutral was very loose and only leaked when car was on. Tightened it back up so far no leaks. Thanks for the help btw I don't have a vent for whatever reason I think when it was rebuilt he took it out?

Yeah that pic I posted isn't my trans/ just another c4 just to show what I thought was leaking. Mines still in my car lol- I don't have one at all.
