Can anyone do a carfax?

My 92 was stolen off the lot when it was brand new. Because of this every vin tag was removed and replaced with a NYS vin. I believe my original vin # was 1FACP41E1NF173174

I would just hate to waste $34.99 to find out it is not my car.

-Thanks!

■Hmm, we haven't received any information on this car since April 1993. Before you buy, ask the seller for recent service or repair records.

Awesome! Thank you! Sure looks to be my car, funny that it doesn't show that the car was a theft recovery. Looks like it had 2,976 miles on it and fell off the face of the earth. How weird!

If it was stolen and then had a state issued VIN, the original would have died. It is odd that any mileage was even recorded. Can you get any info on registrations it may have had?

I was always told that it was stolen off the lot new. But if that was the case it wouldn't of had a recorded millage?

I could call the DMV and see if they are willing to give me any info on past registrations.

Maybe it was driven on a vacation to Ca. and back before it was recovered...........

Anyone have a active carfax still? found a 95 gt local and am thinking about it but not that serious. Might turn me either way but I don't wanna pay $30 to look. 1FALP42T7SF263969 thanks if anyone can help.
