I have done this before......works pretty good for the odd setup that don't fit the normal product out there. Saw it on line a few years back.
I've had this on my car for several years using black ties, looks pretty good IMHO, until I spend the $50 for proper separators.
They are also quite useful as redneck wedding rings.
Heck, when I run out of fuzzy handcuffs, big zip ties work perfectly.
