Not mine, i have enough right now. My best friend in FL of over 30 yrs called the other night & is bouncing around ideas for a new project. He recently bought a newer Boss 302 & loves it. He's tossing around the idea of buying another one that has been wrecked, cutting the outer body shell off leaving floor firewall & complete drivetrain & grafting on a 65-66 fastback body. We are researching wheelbase/ track width etc now & looks like it is doable. Anyone see anything like this being done? I've seen a 69 grafted onto a mark VII chassis a few yrs back but cant remember seeing anything with the new bodystyle chassis. Looking for reasons why this WONT work out.

It's been done, I can't remember the name, but it was a few years ago. It was badass! I'll see if I can remember/find it.

I saw one on eBay but didn't like it. The new model interior defeats the purpose of a vintage car for me. Other then seats....

That car, to my eyes, is infinitely more appealing than that train wreck of a 69, that can't decide what it's trying to be. I think its the workmanship and being over ambitious with the 69 hybrid...

PS, the side scoops never looked very good... Bric a brac according to Larry Shinoda...

Done right, the OPs friend's car has the potential to be a pretty bad a$$ corner carving, vintage looking street car...

Yeah, what he said :thum

Hes wanting to keep the 65-66 interior components, maybe graft the guage pod into the original dash. Hes an instructor & has raced at sebring / daytona etc so it will see alot of track time.
