Door jamb question

Originally ugh...............about 1/8" to 1/4", the factory was not too accurate. To keep things simple, I use a paint stick as a gauge for the doors, fenders, hood and trunk lid. Looks good and is a little better than the factory.

if you are looking for factory specs, then they are available in the shop manuals as illustrated below for a 69. other years are probably similar.

the gaps are different depending on which one you are talking about.

of course you can get a whole lot closer than the factory if you really want.

as far a using paint sticks for setting the gaps, all i can say is that stir sticks are very inconsistent.
