fuel sender

So, how did you run out?

i had put a couple of gallons in the tank a couple of months ago when i put the car together. after a couple months of running the car at home, working out bugs, etc, it ran out of fuel (i.e. not enough fuel in the tank to support running the engine). so the car stalled out. i went to the gas station, filled up my 5 gallon fuel canister and refilled the car and at that point looked at the gas gauge.

i simply wasn't paying attention to the fuel gauge (after i installed the instrument cluster about a month ago and saw it move off the base to E) since i haven't ever driven the car anywhere.

I guess a very important question for any of these reproduction units, especially the expensive ones is, are the sending units accurate in the signal they are sending to the fuel gauge. Afret, 65coupei6 & Ponyman66, did you have to tweak your sending units?

I bent it to match the one I took out. It reads pretty accurate. But, I am also using a Dakota Digital Dash if that makes a difference.
