Load-o-matic replacement???

I have put up with my Load-O-Crap distributor long enough. I want to upgrade to a good modern distributor and carburetor. Any suggestions? Engine is a Sprint 200 with 100,000 miles, I do not need some excessively expensive set up. I just want good performance and fuel milage. Also would like for it to look close to stock.

being a 200 six, I wouldn't think much would be available aftermarket vs. the v8 stuff, depending on interchangeable parts. my tendancy would be to lean towards having the dist. rebuilt, recurved & add one of the electronic modules. it would look stock & perform much better.

What blasphemy!! :guns :guns

You can go with a nice DUI from Classic Inlines. But it is $$$ and not stock. (Just thought I would mention it)

Or there is this HEI: http://www.ebay.com/itm/350787522324?ss ... 1423.l2649

Or you can grab a Duraspark II & control box for a 74 Maverick. The parts stores still have them. That is what I have.

Last would be a Pertronix.

OK I post this...
1. To confirm to you all just how dumb I am.
2. I help others who may have the same issue.

As you know my 67 6 cylinder has had a rough running engine for some time (the 2 years I have owned the car). I have replaced the distributor, rotor, cap, plug wires, coil, rebuilt the carb (twice) and the problem still is present. Today I visited a mechanic who a friend recommended, 5 minutes in he asked had I replaced the PCV valve... I had not. We replaced a $3.00 part and now the problem is corrected! Vacuum was my issue, I hope my posting this helps others, I am VERY happy it is corrected now.
