Laurie got her Conservator award for Murphy and I got 1st place in "Modified 1964 1/2 -1993 Driven-Excluding Undercarriage."
This is her grille medallion: (with a reflection of my wife Carol)

I didn't get a pic of her trophy, but it was really nice. Hopefully she'll post it when she gets back to Tucson.
Our club had 24 cars in the show. A total of around 180 cars were there.

Thanks! I'll post a picture of the trophy this weekend. I trailered 1,758 miles total on this trip and need to recover a bit first (and unpack). Good trip most of the way, but when I hit the north side of Tucson, I ran into a huge dust storm, rain, strong winds, and lightning. I had to drop down to 60 and take the truck out of overdrive to make my way against the headwinds on level ground! Then, I saw lightning hit the ground ahead of me and just as I got close, I saw sparks flying. As I was passing the area, which was less than 10 feet from me, the sparking wood burst into flame. I believe it was the lightning strike. I got the heck out of there.

On top of everything else, I have a battery going bad in my F-250. When I tried to start the truck to leave Concord, I didn't think it would turn over. So, for two days of driving, I never shut my vehicle off. The batteries are 3.5 years old, so I know that's the typical life for them.

I'm not planning on taking Murphy to any more Nationals, but you never know. I will be going to Reno next June and if Trouble isn't ready, I'll take Murphy. But, I really, really want Trouble to be done by then, and hopefully, sooner.

So...how's Ole Moby doing these days. Still hangin' in there ? :shrug

Yeah, he's still here. I'd like to sell the car, doubt I'll ever be doing anything with it at this point.
