New Mustang in the Family

Surprised the wife yesterday... Traded in her 05 Mercury Mariner, and bought her a new 2012 Mustang - Kona Blue, black leather, V6 premium, Auto, Pony package, heated seats, SYNC, etc. 305hp & 31mpg.

She had NO clue this was happening. I'd been driving her Mariner all week, working the deal. Aug 25th is our 28th anniversary, so this was her present... She's been wanting another "blue Mustang" for 10+ years - finally made it happen. All she could say was "No way! NO way! NO WAY!" One happy lady, to say the least... :yah

Drought - day 87. Numerous grass fires every day in this area. I gave up watering too after 3 straight weeks of 95*+ (and a $200 water bill). :shrug

Very nice. Love the color.

I will second that! of course it is the exact same color the boy had his fastback painted. It actually changes color slightly depending on the light. Some think it has a hint of purple.

Great looking car! I just wish I could talk my wife into one...she prefers SUVs.

Agree - the color was a BIG selling point for me... It was funny though - the dealer had that car on the lot since last December. They said that if it had been red or black, it would have been long gone. Go figure. :shrug (I think it had more to do with being a loaded V6 - anybody willing to pay sticker would've bought a GT instead.)

Better pic of the paint:

Ronda's a lucky woman! Maybe she'll bring it to a Wed track day :roll

Congrads, nice color selection. Those 6's will run for sure. :thu BTY, I seen some grass paint on E-Bay the other day, I'll see if I can find the link. Course I could never be so lucky, I hate to mow.

28 years?

She's too young to be married that long.

Baby snatcher!!!

Congrats...and good on ya. :thu
