what rear shocks to buy

Hi there, as some of you know I am installing my ford 9" in my 1966 mustang. I will be needing some rear shocks. I have tires on the back that rub a little when I go over a rough spot they scrap the outer tire. What shock would help in stopping the tire rubbing. It is ok as long as I have no one in the back. Thanks

I'd be looking at your springs before your shocks. The shocks act to dampen the action of the spring. It will take a very "solid" shock to overcome a weak spring and that will not deliver a good or maybe even safe ride condition. What are you using for rear leafs?

I am using a 4 leaf mustang plus leaf springs. Nothing special. I was using a 2 inch lowering blocks. I will not be going back to that set up. Right now I will be getting a 1" lowering block to get the car up a little more..Thats why I was askig about what shocks to get for the rear. Koni's are nice but little over my budget right now.

IIRC, Shaun (Street or Track) recommended Bilstein's
