Ever read one of "those ads" and just shake your head?

$26,500 for a coupe that appears to be nothing special and just a C code car.

Hope the trunk is plated in gold and or full of gold bars.

Sorry but if I were spending that much I am pretty sure I could find a fastback or vert or something more rare....

Seems like a nice car someone probably paid too much for originally. Put a ton of money into and is trying come out even on when the dust settles. Being on Craigslist he is surely expecting to be haggled down. I bet he wants something around $20k. Still way too much but it goes back to my original thought.

This is why I would never restore another coupe unless I didn't care about money. At least on a fastback you have a much higher resale value and the cars use almost entirely the exact same parts to restore.

I agree 100%. It also doesn't help that there are tons of Mustangs for sale on CL right now with most of them being coupes.

The silver with black stripes I bought down here is up for sale on the local CL....two owners past me....$19,000+. Still needs serious body work and paint, had air and power steering added....and the under side painted with por 15....way to high but there will be somebody that will not know the cost of repairing the body will be outrageous.

I still like the Coupes though.......

Yeah baby! Whenever I want some real information on the value of a vintage car I always pick up the Wall Street Journal and look for Missy Sullivan's by line. When do they cover reporting the values of restored vintage vehicles in "J School" anyway? Wow, your average Ivy League twenty something with a journalism degree knows just about everything there is to know. :hmm
