Headed off to the Ford dealer...

Don't trade, you'll get screwed. Sell it outright instead, you will get alot more money. Remember though, your '66 will continue to appreciate, whereas the new one will depreciate the minute you drive it off the lot. If it were me it would sell it outright and buy one that's a couple of years old so it has depreciated some already. I see you're in Ames, that's cool, I'm in Cedar Rapids.

Hell no! Just buy a new one to go along with the 66. We have one on order for the wife right now. 5.0 fully loaded, but with an auto (remember, it's for the wife). Awesome cars, just take a test drive. Don't bother with the 4 cyl ecoboost, nice amount of power.....just not for a Mustang.

I know where you can get a very nice low mileage bad ass green one.
And yes. You are a moron to even consider a trade or even getting rid of the 66

Back from the dealer (got all the fluids changed and the front aligned in the F250). Drove a race red 2015 GT. Pretty awesome ride! Waiting to hear what they'll offer me for the 66. I'd guess maybe $15K. They only way I'd do it is if it's a straight up trade. The Z plan price on the one I would want (plain GT with Recaro seats and performance package) is $32,500.

Keep it you mor...n.
Don't act if you need that money to pay for a new car.
No kids = enough money to spent on cars , your wife , blowing up engines ect ect ect...

To quote Dirty Harry, "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do". But I agree with everyone else above regarding the idea of trading in your vintage Mustang.

First rule of buying a new car. Never ever ever trade in. Just don't. If you must, sell the Mustang you have and throw all that money down at the Mustang you want.
