Headed off to the Ford dealer...

They just gave me a call and offered....wait for it.....almost........$12,500 for the 66. Not that I was offended or pissed by that number, but I did have to laugh. They did offer to sell it on ebay for me! That was a nice gesture cause I've never heard of ebay before*

After a lot of thought and deliberation* (about 1.5 nano seconds), I declined their offer. Dang it all, I guess I'll just have to keep the 66, build a new engine and go vintage racing.

I got to thrash a new GT for about 30 minutes, so I guess I made out in the deal.

Tough life.

* = heavy sarcasm

The fact that that they even offered over Kelly Blue Book is semi impressive. Car dealers are pricks.

and the funny part was that just a few months ago they were selling a Boss 302S for $98K.
Ok.....fine. I will give you $13,000 for it. That way you beat the dealer!

I shall laugh at you just like I did with the dealer. Even if you doubled it, I'd still laugh.

Ok. You forced my hand, $26,001. More than double my original offer. That is my final offer, and I must say its quite generous based on the motor history of the car that came up on Carfax.

You're getting warmer.....
