leaf spring measurement for Explorer 8.8

Anybody that has this setup care to get a measurement from backing plate to leaf spring on a non-modified Explorer 8.8 setup for me Trying to mock my stuff up and a measurement for reference would be much appreciated.

If you are using a 8.8 from an Explorer I think you may have to move the perches. On a 67&8 I get 43" apart (or 43.25 going around the diff with the tape) with the center of the perches 5.25 from the inside of the backing plates (on both sides). Don't forget to set the pinion angle when you mock this up. Let me know if you need something else, I have an original 8" and 8.8" sitting in the floor. The best I can remember the 8.8 is from an Explorer.
