Old Fuel Pump

janschutz

Corn Hauler
Been cleaning out the garage of junk. I believe this is one on my old fuel pumps from a 289. Should I rebuild it or just scrap it? Or does someone need it?

I have one of those from a 390. Can't get the filter off.

If you have a filter to replace it, hammer a punch through it and turn it. It'll come right off.
That's the Army's way of taking a filter off anyway :whis

I have use large channel locks to gently turn the can to get to the filter. To much pressure and it collapses the metal making it trash. Some replacement filters also come with a new can.....at least they did some years back. Dads '72 F100 302 had that type from new.
