SF'ers in Modesto CA - Pics

DEL65

Of The Morons
Some of the Nor Cal group came to Mo-town for the annual American Graffiti show and cruise weekend. It was the biggest gathering of hot rods and muscle cars to date with 1100 registered entrants, which was up from last year's 850 and 500 4 yrs ago.

All us SF'ers met at my place Friday afternoon for food, drink, and to tell lies. Nice to see everyone again, and for the very first time, none of my tools or adult-oriented periodicals turned up missing. Here's some pics:

Thanks for the hospitality John!

Kennan and I had a great time and even Craig was nice enough not to pick on the kid...too much this time. It was great finally meeting everyone and putting faces to names.

The pic doesn't do that car justice. It is spectacular in person!! :thu

Thanks guys! I am quite proud of the car. Too many people miss how much work actually went into this ride.....it was nice to be around people who understand!

Kennan is a good kid and learned a lot in the construction process.

and the poor kid has to put up with your $hiat every day. Poor thing! And that's the only reason I didn't have him join the scrotty club. He has enough to deal with...........for this year. But just wait Kennan, you WILL pay you dues sooner or later.

I meant who took the picture of all you yahoos standing around..... It really is a sharp car, we need to keep nominating it for COTM, it deserves it.

What a bunch of beautiful cars !!! :thu :thu :thu :thu :thu :thu
Can't say it from the people who owns these cars !!! :roll :roll :roll
CMAYNA sents out some gay signals taken such a posture !!! :stu :stu

Those are the days to treasure !!!

Nice looking car. Are flat black stripes on the hood?

Sorry I could not attend this year and hangout with that rabble.

They are matte black "Shelby" style stripes that run from the front valance over the car to the rear valance. The stripes were painted on top of the base blue coat and then clear coated separately, the blue receiving gloss clear coat and the stripes getting a matte clear coat.

I'm glad to hear you all had a good time, and I really enjoyed hosting it. Same time next year. I don't have any other photos to share. I'm sure some of the other guys will post pics.

BTW, on Sunday I and my buddy mentioned the issues to the #2 person running the show, and we were not the first ones. He said 800+ cars showed up for the cruise compared to 500 last year. They're talking about limiting the number of cruisers. He also promised the Sat am parking won't be the Asian-Amercian Fire Drill like it was this year.

This charity event keeps growing, and they are having to learn to adjust to it. Might as well give them one more chance.

Frank! Quit slouching stand up straight. :shrug Or were you sitting on Mikey's car? :hs

Hi Guys, FYI, temps this weekend: yesterday 95 and today 105, compared with 85 last week. What a difference a weeks makes.
